Where does it begin?

Determining needs, sharing ideas, collaborating to accomplish clinical goals, agreeing to be a part of something greater - that's what KU HealthPartners, Inc. stands for.

KU HealthPartners, Inc. (KUHP) is a clinical enterprise operated by the University of Kansas School of Nursing and School of Health Professions. Organized as a 501(c)(3) corporation, KU HealthPartners is the faculty practice plan and sole entity for which managed care contracts are held regarding professional advanced practice nursing and health professions services provided by faculty of the two schools.

Mission

Our mission is to provide clinical services that promote and support the educational, research, and community service endeavors of both the University of Kansas School of Nursing and the University of Kansas School of Health Professions.

Achievements

KU HealthPartners was originally incorporated in 1994 as KU School of Nursing, Inc. In 1999, the name was changed to reflect the partnership with the School of Health Professions. Today, KU HealthPartners is a vibrant and growing clinical enterprise that functions as an integral part of the University of Kansas School of Nursing and the School of Health Professions.

KU HealthPartners offers to the Greater Kansas City area the opportunity for direct access to professional advanced practice nursing and health professions services. In addition to basic primary care services, KU HealthPartners has a unique focus on health promotion and optimal human functioning which is holistically provided and client-centered. A strong commitment exists to provide evidence-based care and to measuring and promoting positive client outcomes.
